2014
Amir Orangi began his PhD journey under the guidance of Prof. Guillermo Narsilio (two of the co-founders), focusing on reimagining an affordable soil moisture and density sensor.
2017
Founders undertook the University of Melbourne's TRaM accelerator / incubator programs. Recieved first non-dilutive funding. Adrian Giecco joined the team.
2020
Funding from the City of Melbourne and Amazon Web Services secured. Patent application well underway to protect IP. Initial field trials with prototypes underway.
2022
AquaTerra is accepted in the F2F Harvest program. Pivot to grain market from the veggie market. EvokeAG attendance. Partner with Telstra to overhaul and simplify data communications.
2023
Funding from Agriculture Victoria and from the Australian Department of Education (via Melbourne University) secured to accelerate development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
2025
One of only 10 start ups and scale ups selected for capital pitching dinner, and start up alley at Evoke AG (Brisbane). One of 24 teams into the Beanstalk Studio to help secure Seed investment.
